Presentation

Last class, I presented an add-on for firefox, it is called Glydo. It's very useful add-on and it can find a lot of information and web pages closely related to the web pages right now. Actually, I didn't know that there are a lot of useful add-ons. I am looking forward to other classmates' presentations!!

CM 1st and 2nd class in winter term

actually, I learned about Zotero in fall term, but I didn't realize how Zotero was amazing!
Now, I often use it for my ARW assignments and I think it's very helpful!!!

Not only Zotero but also everything I learn in this course is very helpful for ELP and other things. I am looking forward to learning useful materials more in winter term!!

Google Form Survey

in my group, we researched about School life, such as living, lunch, part-time job and like that. first, most of answerers live with their family, or live by themselves. only 2 live in dormitory. and, over half people live near ICU(for 0~15min. to school). About lunch, onigiri and sandwich is so popular. additionary, 8 answerers of them have part-time job and they gave us some comments about Mako sama entering ICU.

this "Google Form Survey" is very helpful to research! we can make questionaire very easily and can research by email so we can use this for some essay or paper!! i wanna use this for some assignments next term or next year!

i really enjoyed this class! i hope Prof. Ohata will became my RCA teacher next term!^^

Presentation

actually, I caught a swine flu so I couldn't go to the class so I couldn't see everyone's presentation... but I saw some of them on the everyone's blog! It was so interesting! I like the presentation about "Dogeza" and "sogs as a reflection of culture". To tell the truth, I didn't know how to do "Dogeza"!lol the video was so funny!
Also, i didn't know that the music of "グー、チョキ、パーで...." was sung in different countries, and the meaning of the song changed! it is so interesting.

firefox portable add-ons

I added "pronounce" on my firefox. It's very useful!! For example, when you encounter some words you don't know how to pronouce while you read some news on the Internet, you can understand how to pronunce immediately with this add-on. You should use this!!

websites for ARW and igoogle

The sites I found for ARW are about intercultural communication.Specifically, One is about intercultural preferences and the other is about understanding intercultural communication. They give us many information for writing essay so I really recommend you to watch them!! I'm sure that they help you to write ARW essay.

To tell the truth I've never know about igoogle. It is very useful item! on the igoogle page, we can change the layout as you like. we can also put things you want to see and erase things you are not interested in. But I think the most important thing is how you use them. We should optimize them!

Wonder Wheel

I've never known that there is very useful function on Google: Wonder Wheel. This function is so useful and interesting. If you search the word with Wonder Wheel, Google tells you more specific categories related to the word you search. Moreover, you can do brainstorm with figure like you do in your mind! I really recommend you this function. :)
Thanks to this class, i can use the Internet more usefully!
